Filipinos still happy with Duterte – survey

The recent Social Weather Station survey showed that President Rody Duterte is still enjoying the net satisfaction from his people despite of all the glaring black propaganda hurled against him.

THE net satisfaction rating of President Rodrigo Duterte rose to a personal high for the second quarter of 2019, with 4 out of 5 Filipinos voicing satisfaction with his performance, according to the Social Weather Stations (SWS).

The survey, conducted from June 22 to 26, 2019, found that 80 percent of Filipinos were satisfied with the performance of Duterte, while 12 percent were dissatisfied.

The remaining 9 percent were undecided.

This resulted in a +68 net satisfaction rating, which was classified by the polling firm as “very good.”

This surpassed the previous record of +66 in the prior quarter and in June 2017.

Duterte’s higher net satisfaction rating was attributed to a nine-point hike in Balance Luzon, recorded at +65, from +56 in March.

This was a record-high in the area, surpassing the +60 in December 2016.

The President’s rating declined by 7 points in Mindanao — +81 from the record-high +88 in March.

It remained virtually identical in the Visayas (+66, from the +69 in March) and Metro Manila (+59, from +61 in March.)

The net satisfaction rating of Duterte in urban areas also went up by 5 points — +67 from +62 in March.

It remained unchanged in rural areas — +68 from March’s +69.

It also had a new record-high in class E, netting a “very good” +68 for June, from the +58 in March.

“This surpassed the previous record of very good +67 in June 2017,” SWS said.

The President maintained a record-high +68 among those in class D, or the “masa.”

It also stayed very good among men at +67 in June, down by a point from +68 in March.
